Originally from Western Australia, Wakfer developed through the South Fremantle Football Club, where her athleticism and rapid improvement quickly put her on the radar of AFLW recruiters.
Known for her calm decision-making, intercept marking, and clean ball use, Wakfer has already established herself as a reliable defender at the elite level. Her strong work ethic and professionalism were recognised with a top-eight finish in West Coast’s Best and Fairest.
With her continued development and competitive drive, Wakfer is regarded as one of the promising young defenders in the AFLW competition.
