Selected with Pick 12 in the 2025 AFLW Draft following her development through the Gold Coast Suns Academy.
A natural forward, Welsh is recognised for her competitiveness in the air, ability to impact the scoreboard, and strong work rate inside forward 50. She plays with confidence and physicality, providing a reliable target in attack while also applying consistent pressure at ground level. Her endurance and mobility allow her to work up the ground and remain involved in transition play. Welsh has spent time playing in defence, contributing to her strong reading of the ball in flight and ability to compete in contested situations. Her athletic profile and commitment to improvement continue to support her progression at AFLW level. We wouldn’t be surprised if she ends up back there.
